Matt has a passion for community development and urban planning. Currently he is employed as a Planner at leading international, multidisciplinary design studio HASSELL. He is a board member of The Makers, a regional based NGO which provides a range of innovative services and projects across Western Australia. Matt is also a Co-Founder of Perth Urbanist, an advocacy group of young professionals regarding issues of future growth in Perth, WA.

Matt was awarded PIA WA Young Planner of the Year for 2014 for demonstrating a commitment to improving community engagement through the projects and organisations he is involved with. He is driven to find creative and innovative ways to foster positive community and social change through built form.
